Mohali : Trident Stallions registered their third win in the Sher-e-Punjab T20 Cup organized by the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) as they defeated JK Super Strikers by 6 wickets. Sanveer Singh played an inning of 83 runs to take the Strikers’ score to 174/5.
In reply, Nehal Wadhera scored an inning of 80 runs to give Team Trident Stallions a 6-wicket win. In the match played at IS Bindra Stadium, JK Super Strikers won the toss and decided to bat first. Sanveer Singh played a good inning for the team and took the score to 174 for 5 in 20 overs.
Sanveer Singh scored 83 runs in 49 balls with the help of 6 fours and 5 sixes. Anmol Malhotra scored 26 runs. Aryaman took 2 wickets from Trident. Harshdeep and Nehal got 1-1 success. In response, the Trident stallions got two shocks as soon as they arrived.
Vihaan was dismissed after scoring 9 runs and Shiven Rakheja after scoring 16 runs. Nehal Wadhera strengthened the team and scored runs continuously from one end.
He brought the team close to victory by scoring 80 runs off 37 balls. His innings included 9 fours and 4 sixes. Shahbaz scored 23 and Salil Arora added 26 while Gaurav Chowdhary scored 13 runs off 11 balls to give Trident victory.
