For the interests of the Badal family, SGPC again gave the right to broadcast Gurbani to PTC – AAP

Till SGPC does not have its own channel, all channels should get the right to broadcast Gurbani - Malvinder Singh Kang

Chandigarh : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has strongly objected to the recommendation made by the Jathedar of Shri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Raghbir Singh, to the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) to give the right to broadcast Gurbani to PTC channel again.
Addressing the media from the party headquarters in Chandigarh on Friday, Aam Aadmi Party Punjab Chief Spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang said that it is extremely unfortunate that once again only PTC is being given the right to broadcast Gurbani. SGPC was supposed to start its own channel from July 23rd but to protect the interests of Badal family, PTC is getting priority.
Kang raised a question to SGPC that what is their compulsion that they are forced to give the right to broadcast Gurbani to PTC? Has SGPC taken this decision to protect the interests of the Badal family?
While Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has clearly said that SGPC should give the responsibility of broadcasting Gurbani to the Punjab government, the government will make all the arrangements within 24 hours and bear all the expenses.
Kang said that the SGPC decision is completely one-sided and unfair. The SGPC should have respected the sentiments of the Sikh Sangat and taken an appropriate decision.
Until its own satellite channel is established, they should have given the right to broadcast Gurbani to all channels so that the message of Gurbani could reach all corners of the country as well as the world.
