Remove political ads from private properties or submit consent

Ludhiana : District Election Officer Sakshi Sawhney on Monday directed all political parties either to remove any kind of political advertisement in the form of banners, posters, hoarding, billboards/stickers/flags from private properties by tomorrow (March 19) 3 pm or submit the consent of the owners of the properties. Sawhney said that as the deadline of 72-hours ending tomorrow (March 19) 3 pm (since the announcement of Model Code of Conduct), all political advertisements must be taken off from private properties.
She said that if the parties had taken consent from the owners, the same can be submitted with annexure-2 which can be downloaded from Ludhiana.nic.in. The District Election Officer said that if the political parties failed to do so, strict action will be taken in accordance with the provisions of the Model Code of Conduct.

ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਚੋਣ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਸਾਕਸ਼ੀ ਸਾਹਨੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅੱਜ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਭਲਕੇ (19 ਮਾਰਚ) ਦੁਪਹਿਰ 3 ਵਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਜਾਇਦਾਦਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬੈਨਰਾਂ, ਪੋਸਟਰਾਂ, ਹੋਰਡਿੰਗਾਂ, ਬਿਲਬੋਰਡਾਂ/ਸਟਿੱਕਰਾਂ/ਝੰਡਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਇਸ਼ਤਿਹਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਹਟਾਉਣ ਜਾਂ ਜਾਇਦਾਦ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੀ ਸਹਿਮਤੀ ਜਮ੍ਹਾ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ। ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਚੋਣ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਸਾਹਨੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਲਕੇ (19 ਮਾਰਚ) ਦੁਪਹਿਰ 3 ਵਜੇ (ਆਦਰਸ਼ ਚੋਣ }ਾਬਤੇ ਦੇ ਐਲਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ) 72 ਘੰਟਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਂ ਸੀਮਾ ਖਤਮ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਤੇ, ਨਿੱਜੀ ਜਾਇਦਾਦਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਇਸ਼ਤਿਹਾਰ ਹਟਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਧਿਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਾਲਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਹਿਮਤੀ ਲੈ ਲਈ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਅਨੈਕਸਚਰ-2 ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਜਮ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਿ Ludhiana.nic.in ਤੋਂ ਡਾਊਨਲੋਡ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਚੋਣ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸਫਲ ਰਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਆਦਰਸ਼ ਚੋਣ ਜ਼ਾਬਤੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਧਾਰਾਵਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
