S.A.S. Nagar Police Achieves Major Breakthrough: Arrests Wanted Shooter of Goldy Brar and Saba USA

S.A.S. Nagar : In a significant development in their ongoing crackdown against criminals and gangsters, the SAS Nagar Police achieved a major breakthrough by apprehending Gurpal Singh, a key operative associated with Goldy Brar and Saba USA. Dr. Sandeep Garg, IPS, SSP SAS Nagar, announced the successful operation during a media briefing today.

According to SSP Garg, the breakthrough came during special patrolling on November 6, 2023, in the recent festive period. SHO Zirakpur and his team successfully arrested Manjeet, also known as Guri, after a brief encounter at VIP road, Zirakpur. However, Gurpal, his associate, managed to escape from the spot.Guri sustained a bullet injury during the encounter, and two pistols were recovered from him.

An FIR (First Information Report) was registered at PS Zirakpur under various sections, including 307 (attempt to murder) and 25 Arms Act.The preliminary interrogation of Guri revealed that, under the directives of the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang’s wanted criminals Goldy Brar and Saba USA, he and Gurpal were assigned three foreign-made pistols and 30 live cartridges.

These weapons were handed over to them at village Dadrana, College Road, Derabassi, by two unidentified bike-borne individuals. Their mission was to carry out a sensational crime in Zirakpur as directed by the foreign-based criminal duo.Providing further details, SSP Garg disclosed that SAS Nagar Police launched a special operation to apprehend Gurpal.

Based on human and technical inputs, the wanted shooter Gurpal Singh was arrested in the early morning from Village Rankhandi, District Saharanpur (UP), where he had been provided a hideout by his handlers. The police recovered a .30 caliber Chinese pistol along with five live cartridges from the accused. The investigation is ongoing.This successful operation marks a significant step forward in the relentless efforts of SAS Nagar Police to curb criminal activities in the region.
