Amritsar : Gurjeet Singh Aujla has defeated his opponents for the third time by registering his victory from Amritsar for the third time. The defeat of the Akali Dal candidate and three BJP candidates from Amritsar for the third time has proved that people do not vote in the name of religion or on the politics of demeaning others but on the basis of the work done.
Celebrating the victory with his family members, Gurjeet Singh Aujla said that he is very happy that Guru Nagri has once again appreciated his work. Gurjeet Singh Aujla said that not only he but his entire family has worked hard in the elections. His family and he have always been present to serve the people of Guru Nagri and will continue to do so in the future.
Gurjeet Singh Aujla, while celebrating with his brother Sukhjinder Singh Aujla, said that this victory is the victory of the people of Amritsar who showed faith in him for the third time and told the opponents that the people are with the Congress. He thanked senior Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge and the entire leadership who supported him in his victory.
Gurjeet Singh Aujla said that now he will get the stalled projects completed on priority basis. He will put pressure on the state government to prevent drug abuse and strictly implement law and order and if needed, he will also come out on the streets for the people but will not let the pride of the people be broken.
With the announcement of Gurjeet Singh Aujla’s victory, Congress supporters reached his office and home to congratulate him. Aujla met everyone and took congratulations but did not celebrate with drums due to Ghalughara week.
He said that he followed the instructions of the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and did not distribute any laddus or play drums on his own.
