Says, Entire Nation Will Always Be Indebted To Unparalleled Sacrifice Of The Martyr

Samana : Punjab Defence Services Welfare Minister S. Chetan Singh Jauramajra today paid tributes to the martyr Sepoy Pardeep Singh, who sacrificed his life during the terrorist attack in Anantnag of Jammu and Kashmir.
During the bhog ceremony of the martyr in his ancestral village Ballamgarh under Samana constituency, S. Chetan Singh Jauramajra, while paying homage on behalf of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, said that the entire nation will always be indebted to the unparalleled sacrifice of the martyr.
Reiterating the Punjab government’s firm commitment to help the families of the soldiers who laid down their lives in the service of the motherland, S. Jauramajra said that the sacrifice of the martyr will inspire their fellow soldiers to perform their duty with dedication.
He said that the Punjab government will spend Rs.99 lakh on various works in the village in memory of the martyr. He said that Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann had announced that martyr’s widow Seema Rani will be appointed as assistant professor at the public college and this appointment has been made.
Besides this, the Chief Minister also handed over a cheque of Rs.1 crore to the family as a tribute to the unparalleled sacrifice made by the martyr.Cabinet Minister S. Chetan Singh Jauramajra announced that the primary school and a block in public college Samana will be renamed after the martyr.
A community hall with the cost of Rs.20 lakh, a library with Rs.16 lakh and a stadium with Rs.18 lakh will be constructed. Besides this, the road from Bhawanigarh-Kulara-Ballamgarh will also be renamed after the martyr and Rs.10 lakh will be incurred for the construction of a memorial gate on Bhawanigarh road.
Similarly, the road leading to Dera Baba Amar Das will be strengthened at a cost of Rs.31 lakh, including a crematorium costing Rs.4 lakh.Notably, Sepoy Pardeep Singh of 19 RR Sikh Light Infantry attained martyrdom on September 13 during the search operation against terrorists in Anantnag (Jammu and Kashmir). The minister mentioned that this loss is not just for the country but specifically for Punjab and the families of the martyr.
