Anmol Gagan Mann Dedicates Irrigation Tubewell to Farmers at Khizrabad

Kurali : Tourism Minister and MLA Kharar, Anmol Gagan Mann dedicated a deep tubewell commissioned at Khizrabad for irrigation purposes on Friday. She said that apart from this a project worth Rs.65 lakh which will irrigate 93 Acres of agriculture land in the Kandi Belt, setting up of 12 more deep tubewells are in progress that would cover approximate 1000 acres of agriculture land to facilitate proper irrigation facility in this belt.About Rs 7 Crore would be spent on the project .
Reiterating Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann’s commitment to provide a concrete irrigation system across the state through the canal irrigation system, she said that as the Kandi Belt has less sources of water channels so these tubewells have been commissioned in this belt.
Listing the development works being done in this belt, she said that besides an advanced Government Hospital being set up at Kurali as a secondary Health Care institution, as many as 13 Aam Aadmi Clinics have been working successfully in the Kharar Constituency.
Apart from that five bridges at the cost of Rs 11.22 crore on Nayagaon road near Tanda Tandi villages where Patiala ki Rao crosses would also be built soon as the required permissions have been granted.Expressing her commitment to serve the residents of her constituency with utmost honesty and integrity, she said that to explore the job opportunities for the youth of the area, Majri Block is being developed as a giant tourist hub with setting up of eco tourism based projects here.
The minister assured the people of the area that she would always work hard for the overall development of the area.On this occasion, she directed the BDPO Majri to immediately provide employment to the female residents of Fatehgarh Tapparian village, from whom a deputation of women requested her at Khizrabad demanding employment under MGNREGA.
Chairman Punjab Water Resources Management and Development Corporation, Ranjit Singh Cheema also addressed the gathering and apprised the Minister of the irrigation water supply schemes in progress in the area. XEN Navjot from Punjab Water Resources and volunteers and office bearers besides Panchayat of Khizrabad were also present there.
