Sacrifices of martyrs will inspire youth towards national service: Gaurav Gautam
Haryana Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam said that a padyatra is being organized on the theme “Mera Yuva Bharat – Meri Zimmedari” with the objective of connecting youth to nation-building. A large number of young people are expected to participate.
The event will be held under the joint aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, and the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Haryana.Gaurav Gautam shared this information during a press conference held on Saturday at Manav Rachna University, Surajkund, Faridabad.
He informed that on the occasion of Shaheed Diwas on March 23, special programmes are being organized across the country under the ‘MY Bharat’ initiative of the Government of India to inspire youth. As part of this, Faridabad district in Haryana has been designated as the state-level main centre, where a mega Shaheed Padyatra will be organized.
Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports and Labour & Employment, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, will attend the event as the Chief Guest. The padyatra will start from KL Mehta Women’s College, NIT-05, and proceed to Bhagat Singh Chowk, NIT-05.
He said that under the programme, a Shramdaan (voluntary labour) activity will be conducted on March 22, through which youth will contribute to further strengthening the Swachh Bharat Mission launched by the Prime Minister. On March 23, after paying floral tributes to the martyrs, the padyatra will be flagged off in the morning.
Youth as well as people from all sections of society will participate. All participants will carry the national flag and convey messages of patriotism through badges and slogans.
