AI education will create employment opportunities for lakhs of youth : Dr. Arvind Sharma

Haryana’s Heritage and Tourism Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma said that under the AI Mission in Haryana, youth will be equipped with artificial intelligence skills with an investment of ₹474 crore, supported by the World Bank. This initiative will create direct and indirect employment opportunities in the AI sector for lakhs of youth in the state. 

He said that Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini are committed to effectively implementing the New National Education Policy so that the youth of the country can engage with innovation and research.

Cooperation Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma inaugurated a boxing academy at Jawahar Lal Nehru Senior Secondary School in Gohana and attended the annual prize distribution ceremony as the Chief Guest. On this occasion, he encouraged students by presenting awards. 

He said that both the Central and State Governments are continuously promoting modern education through infrastructure development and implementation of various schemes.Dr. Sharma said that the future belongs to artificial intelligence. 

Referring to the programme held at Bharat Mandapam on the call of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, which saw participation from representatives of 130 countries, he said this reflects the growing importance of AI globally. Appreciating the school management, he said that Jawahar Lal Nehru School has earned the trust of parents through discipline, values and a modern education system.

He said that the goal should not be limited to academics alone, but also to make youth cultured and capable. He urged parents to motivate their children—both sons and daughters—to pursue quality education, as they are the greatest asset of the nation. He added that both teachers and parents feel proud seeing their students succeed, and this forms the foundation of a bright future for society and the nation.
