Harbhajan Singh ETO attends Annual Religious Jor Mela and Sports Fair at Jabbowal
Punjab’s Public Works Minister *S. Harbhajan Singh ETO* attended the Annual Religious Jor Mela and Sports Fair held at village Jabbowal and marked his presence among the devotees. As per the tradition started by *Brahm Gyani Sant Baba Gurbaksh Singh Ji Sant Sar Jabbowal, the annual religious Jor Mela is organized in his memory at **Gurdwara Sri Sant Sar Sahib, Jabbowal* with great devotion and enthusiasm.
On this occasion, exciting kabaddi matches were organized during the fair. A special kabaddi show match was held between the teams of *Baba Buddha Ji Sports Club Kathunangal* and *Majha Khujala Club Amritsar*. A free eye check-up camp was also organized for the devotees.
While congratulating *Baba Gurdev Singh Ji, Baba Amar Singh Ji, Jeevan Canada, Sarpanch S. Davinder Singh Mannu, other dignitaries, devotees and players present on the occasion, Cabinet Minister **S. Harbhajan Singh ETO* appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee for continuing this tradition. He said that such religious fairs connect people with their faith and rich cultural heritage.
He further stated that *NRIs have a significant contribution in the progress and prosperity of Punjab*, and he specially thanked the NRI community for their continued support. Talking about sports culture, the Cabinet Minister said that the *Mann Government is making special efforts to promote sports in the state.
He informed that **3000 playgrounds and 1000 sports stadiums are being developed across Punjab, which will be completed within this year. He added that the Punjab Government is also constructing a **modern sports stadium in village Jabbowal at a cost of ₹2 crore*.
He said that such initiatives of the government will help the youth stay away from drugs and encourage them to participate in sports, enabling them to achieve greater success in the field of sports. On this occasion, *Baba Amar Singh (Chief Sewadar), S. Davinder Singh Mannu, Jeevan Canada* and other dignitaries also *honoured Cabinet Minister S. Harbhajan Singh ETO*.
