Devendra Fadnavis Distributes First Appointment Letters to Social Welfare Officers (Group B) in Maharashtra

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today handed over the first appointment letters to Social Welfare Officers (Group B) appointed in the Social Justice and Special Assistance Department at Sahyadri Guest House, Mumbai.

The officers were selected through the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC). The ceremony was attended by Social Justice Minister Sanjay Shirsat, Hansraj Ahir, Chairman of the National Commission for Backward Classes, and other dignitaries.

Addressing the newly appointed officers, CM Fadnavis emphasized the constitutional responsibility bestowed by Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and urged them to carry out their duties with honesty and dedication.

“Serving the people through government service is the true strength of democracy. Your contribution will play a vital role in the development of the state,” he said. The Chief Minister underlined the significance of the Social Justice Department, describing it as a crucial arm of governance dedicated to uplifting the deprived sections of society.

He stressed that the true goal of inclusive and holistic development can only be achieved when the last element of society is brought into the mainstream. “Each officer must work with integrity to transform the lives of those at the grassroots level,” he appealed.

The occasion marked not only the distribution of appointment letters but also a call to action for the new officers to embody people-centric governance and contribute meaningfully to Maharashtra’s growth and social justice mission.
