DC Rajouri inspects patient care facilities in GMC Hospital

Rajouri : To take stock of healthcare facilities being provided to the patients, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, along with Additional District Development Commissioner, Pawan Parihar, and Medical Superintendent Dr Mehmood Hussain Bajar today visited Government Medical College Hospital.During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected various wards and sections of the hospital including emergency, operation theater, ECG unit, X-ray, gynaecological, post-operation ward and labs.The Deputy Commissioner inspected the Oxygen generation plant.

The Medical Superintendent apprised him that the capacity of the oxygen generation plants is 4250 LPM and the plant is running smoothly. The MS also informed that there is no dearth of oxygen in the GMC.The Deputy Commissioner also enquired about the availability of medicines, diagnostic and other facilities available in the hospital.The Medical Superintendent apprised the Deputy Commissioner that the Hospital administration is planning to launch a few more services like MRI, but the shortage of infrastructure is a bottleneck.The Deputy Commissioner further inquired about the progress in the implementation of Ayushman Bharat and other government-sponsored health schemes in the district hospital.He also advised the Health Officials to revamp the Testing and vaccination in the GMC and AH.
