Himachalis expressed solidarity for BJP with Dham

Folk singer Karnail Rana regaled Himachalis with his popular numbers

Chandigarh : Himachalis residing in the city who are playing a vital role in upcoming Chandigarh Municipal Corporation elections expressed their full solidarity in support of BJP with traditional Dham and cultural evening organized at Rally Ground on Sunday.Almost a four hour long program organized by BJP’s Himachal Cell, the vivid forms of Dhams (cuisines) hailing from Mandi, Kangra, Hamirpur and Bilaspur was savored not only by visiting star campaigners Union Minister Anurag Thakur and top leaders of city unit but also relished by numerous Himachali residents.Traditional dham which constitutes mitha, madra, seppu vadi, mah ki daal blended with curd with a mixture of curd, Pahari Kadhi, channe ka khatta, Rajmah was prepared by invited team of 16 chefs (Bhottis) from Jogindernagar.To cope up with the chilling evening , organizers made a special arrangement with 25 gas heaters besides bonfires at many places.

Representatives of 17 Himachali sabhas in Chandigarh tricity including Mandi Kalyan Sabha, Sirmaur Sabha, Himachal Janhit Sabha, Himachal Kalyan Sabha, Himachal Mahasabha participated during the programme.Speaking on the occasion, Anurag Thakur said that the cultural fusion of Himachal and Chandigarh is the specialty of the people here. BJP President Arun Sood, former State President Sanjay Tandon, Additional Solicitor General of India Satya Pal Jain, Chandigarh’s co-in-charge Indubala Goswami, Chandigarh Mayor Ravikant Sharma, State Secretary Amit Rana and many leaders mark the occasion and also have a taste of Dham.Noted folk singer Karnail Rana regaled the present audiences with his popular numbers which includes pattan diya tarua, kaisa laga goriye pahade da basna, kanju nain milaye dila meraya, bindu-neelu do sakhiyan and other hits songs.
