Secretary Planning Mohammad Aijaz chairs public grievances redressal camp at Bhambla panchayat

Terms "LG's Mulakat" as effective platform for grievance redressal of common masses

Reasi : Secretary Planning Development and Monitoring Department, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, today chaired a public grievances redressal camp at Bhambla panchayat in Pouni block to assess and address public issues and concerns. District Development Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Paul Mahajan, besides other senior officers were present on the occasion.
The locals apprised the Secretary of their grievances and demands seeking an early redressal to the same. The issues raised inter alia included infrastructure development, healthcare facilities, staff shortage in health department, construction of bridge near Kalidhar temple, completion of pending roads, school upgradation, fresh survey of PMAY, monkey menace, ambulance availability, school building repairs, low voltage in certain areas and construction of a playground in the area.
Various government departments, including Agriculture, Health, Animal Husbandry, Horticulture and Social Welfare, set up their stalls to raise awareness among the people about the central and Jammu and Kashmir government schemes.
Speaking on the occasion, Secretary emphasized the government’s commitment towards addressing the needs of the people on priority basis while highlighting the importance of holding these grievance camps for resolving public issues at their doorsteps.
He mentioned the LG Mulakat programme as an effective platform for people to directly raise grievances with the Lieutenant Governor, encouraging the public to use the platform to get their genuine concerns redressed. This unique initiative is one of his many programs aimed to infuse accountability and transparency in the system making the governance more people centric, he added.
Secretary said that the Sports department and the J&K Sports Council would soon conduct a survey to identify suitable land for playgrounds. Regarding the issue of water scarcity, Secretary informed that the Border Roads Organization (BRO) is regularly supplying water tankers to the affected areas. He said that a team of engineers would soon visit the area to resolve the water problems.
Aijaz Asad urged upon the youth to take advantage of various government schemes tailored for their socio-economic empowerment. He specifically encouraged local artisans to register themselves under the PM Vishwakarma scheme.
While addressing the residents of Bhambla, Vishesh Paul Mahajan assured the residents that all their genuine demands would be fulfilled in a timely manner. He highlighted that the administration is committed to ensuring transparency and accountability.
