Ramban: Horticulture Department organises farmers’ training tour to ACHR Jammu

Ramban :As part of the Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) and the Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA), a significant initiative has been undertaken to enhance the agricultural landscape in Ramban district.Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Ramban Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, Chief Horticulture Officer, Anil Gorka, today flagged off a group of fifteen orchardists for a day long exposure tour to the Advanced Centre for Horticulture Research (ACHR) in Udaiwala, Jammu.
The objective of this initiative is to empower farmers with the knowledge and skills necessary to enhance fruit production and subsequently augment their income levels. Speaking on the occasion, the CHO emphasized the significance of equipping farmers with contemporary agricultural practices, stating that this training program will play a crucial role in catalyzing the socio-economic growth of the farming community in Ramban.
He expressed confidence that the acquired knowledge and expertise will enable farmers to significantly improve their yield and financial well-being. The enthusiasm among the farmers participating in the training tour is clear, as they eagerly anticipate the opportunity to learn and implement innovative horticultural techniques.
The Training Programme tour to the ACHR, Udaiwala, Jammu, among other such initiatives is the part of the concerted efforts of the government to support and uplift the farming community. It is also envisioned as a step towards realizing the potential of horticulture in Ramban, thereby contributing to the overall development of the sector in the district.
