Jai Ram Thakur inaugurates and lays foundation stone of projects worth Rs. 29 crore in Doon Vidhan Sabha area

Solan : An amount of over Rs. 203 crore have been spent on various developmental projects in Doon Vidhan Sabha area during the last three years tenure of the present State Government. This was stated by the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur after he inaugurated and laid foundation stone of projects worth about Rs. 29 crore in Doon Vidhan Sabha area of Solan district today.Chief Minister said that work was also in progress on projects worth Rs. 240 crore during the present tenure of the State Government. He said that the soon after assuming office the very first decision of the State Cabinet was aimed at welfare of the common man by lowering the age limit for availing old age pension without any income limit from 80 years to 70 years. He said that second decision made in the cabinet was to establish cow sanctuaries in the State so that cows were not left stray. He said that decision was also taken to levy cess of Rs. 2 per bottle of liquor to provide financial assistance to construct Gau Sadans and Cow sanctuaries in the State. Jai Ram Thakur said that people of the State have given their massive support and cooperation to the present State Government during the last three years. He said that a kind of history was created when the BJP won in all the 68 Vidhan Sabha areas during the Panchayati Raj elections. He said that all the four parliamentary seats were won by the BJP candidates by a record margin. The BJP candidates also won both the seats in the bye elections to the State Vidhan Sabha, he added.Chief Minister said that the BJP Government in the State successfully brought back home about 2.50 lakh people of the State stranded in different parts of the country. He said that the Congress leaders even opposed this move of the State Government alleging that this would spread Corona in the State. He said that these were the same Congress leaders who were initially accusing the State Government for not being serious to bring back the stranded people. He said that there were only 50 ventilators in the State year back, but today the State have over 600 ventilators in the State. He said that not even a single PPE kit was prepared in the country, but today over 6 lakh PPE kits were being manufactured daily in the country. He said that the hydroxychloroquine manufactured in the State was even supplied to several countries. He said that all this was possible due to the timely assistance provided by the Centre Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the Congress leaders has put to shame the people of the State by their unruly conduct and behaviour in the Vidhan Sabha. He said that the Congress leaders even misbehaved with the Governor, which shows that these leaders have little respect for democratic values. He said that programmes like Jan Manch and CM Helpline has helped in redressal of public grievances, HIMCARE has proved boon to the poor families for providing free treatment upto Rs. 5 lakh and Sahara Yojana has helped those families with chronically ill patients.He directed the officers to ensure timebound completion of all the developmental projects, foundation stones of which were laid by him today.Chief Minister announced upgradation of PHC of Patta Malog to Community Health Centre and Rs 1 crore for expansion of Cow sanctuary at Handa Kundi, opening of PWD Sub Division at Chandi.He said that efforts would be made to open PHC at Manpura and ugradation of High School Jharmajri to Senior Secondary School. He inaugurated indoor stadium at Baddi constructed at a cost of Rs. 6.74 crore and Cow Sanctuary at Handa Kundi developed at a cost of about Rs. 3 crore. He laid foundation stone of Community Health Centre at Barotiwala to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 2 crore, four laning of Sun City road from Baddi entry point bridge to Petrol Pump near SP Office to be built at a cost of Rs. 4 crore.Chief Minister also laid foundation stones of Rs. 1.60 crore Tubewell to Lift Water Supply Scheme for Dharampur Bhoopnagar and Kotla in Baddi Tehsil, Rs. 1.74 crore Lift Water Supply Scheme for village Kharota Gurdaspur and adjoining villages, Rs. 78 lakh lift water supply scheme to Badheri and adjoining villages, Rs. 72 lakh retrofitting and improvement of lift water supply scheme Bhatoli Kalan under Jal Jeevan Mission, Rs. 1.22 crore retrofitting and improvement of lift water supply scheme Kishanpura and its adjoining villages, Rs. 48 lakh retrofitting and improvement of lift water supply scheme Malpur and its adjoining villages under Jal Jeevan Mission, Rs. 3 crore 60 meters span bridge over Ratta khad for Rajput basti Thana and Rs. 3.33 crore Mahila Police Station at Baddi.
Chief Minister also honoured five philanthropists contributing towards ensuring better management of cow sanctuary at Handa Kundi.Several Congress leaders of the area joined BJP on the occasion.Rural Development and Panchayati Raj and Animal Husbandry Minister Virender Kanwar said that the Handa Kundi Cow sanctuary would not only ensure that not even a single cow was left abandoned on the roads, but would also protect crops of the farmers. He also thanked the Chief Minister for making available adequate funds for strengthening and maintenance of Gau Shalas. He said that the State Government has also decided to establish Cow Sanctuaries in al the districts of the State. He expressed hope that by June , 2022 the State would become free from abandoned cow. State BJP President Suresh Kashyap said that the three years tenure of the State Government led by the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has witnessed unparalleled development. He said that it was essential that the BJP once again comes to power in 2022, so that the pace of development goes uninterrupted.MLA Doon Paramjit Singh Pammi while welcoming the Chief Minister to his home constituency said that being himself from a humble background, Chief Minister well understands the developmental needs of the common man. He thanked the Chief Minister for dedicating developmental projects worth Crores of Rupees in Doon Vidhan Sabha area during the last three years. He also detailed various developmental demands of his area.Chairman State Water Management Board Darshan Singh Saini also spoke on the occasion. He said that the BJP supported candidates have swept the recently held elections to the Panchayati Raj Institutions and Urban Local Bodies in Doon Vidhan Sabha area.Chairman Gau Sewa Aayog Ashok Sharma while welcoming the Chief Minister said that it was during the tenure of the Chief Minister that State Gau Sewa Ayog was constituted in the State.Former MLA Vinod Chandel and K.L Thakur, Chairman Zila Parishad Solan Ramesh Thakur, Vice President State BJP Prushotam Guleria, President District Solan BJP Ashutosh Vaidya, Chairman Jogindra Cooperative Bank Yogesh Bhartiya, Chairman HIMCOFED Rattan Singh Pal, Mandal President Balbir Thakur, Deputy Commissioner Solan, K.C.
