The Minister was replying to a question raised by a member during the ongoing Budget Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today.

She said that an estimate is being prepared to de-silt Chautang Nallah from Burji No. 3000 to 48000. The target is to complete this work by June 30, 2026. She further said that tenders had been issued to desilt the Somb River, but the NGT (National Green Tribunal) has stayed the work on February 11, 2026.

The next hearing in the matter is scheduled for May 15, 2026. Therefore, the tenders have been cancelled for now. She said that the work of desilting in some parts of the Nakti River has already been completed. Work in the remaining parts will begin after resolving issues related to forest land.
