All India Mahila Empowerment Party Celebrates Passage of Women’s Reservation Bill

New Delhi : Founder & National President Dr Nowhera Shaik, Office bearers and Well-wishers of the All India Mahila Empowerment Party gathered in celebration as the Rajya Sabha passed the historic Nari Shakti Vandhan Adhiniyam 2023 (Women’s Reservation Bill) on Wednesday at capital.
This monumental legislation ensures 33 percent reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies, marking a significant step towards gender equality in India. Dr Nowhera Shaik commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and commitment to gender equality.
He stated, “We express our heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for his resolute support and leadership in bringing the Women’s Reservation Bill to fruition. His dedication to empowering women in our country is commendable.
This historic moment is a reflection of his vision for an inclusive and progressive India. We appreciate the Prime Minister’s unwavering efforts in championing the cause of women’s representation in our legislative bodies.”
The celebratory event, hosted at a private hotel, drew a diverse crowd of participants from various religious and social backgrounds. It served as a platform to acknowledge the importance of this historic legislation in the country’s progress towards greater gender representation in governance.
Dr Nowhera Shaik expressed her enthusiasm, saying, “This is a moment of pride and empowerment for every woman in India. The passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill reflects our nation’s commitment to providing women with the representation they deserve in the highest legislative bodies.”
National General Secretary of AIMEP Bijendra Mishra said “As a member of the party, I am elated by the passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill. This achievement underscores our party’s commitment to advocating for the rights and representation of women.
We believe this bill will pave the way for a more inclusive and equitable political landscape in India,” Senior BJP leader & Former MLA of Narela Delhi Neeldaman Khatri extended gratitude to all those who contributed to the passage of this significant bill and looks forward to witnessing the positive impact of increased female representation in India’s political landscape.
Dr Divya Tanwar a well wisher of the All India Mahila Empowerment Party said, The Upper House of Parliament held a day-long session to deliberate on the 128th Constitution Amendment Bill, also known as the Nari Shakti Vandhan Adhiniyam 2023 (Women’s Reservation Bill). The bill received overwhelming support with 215 Members of Parliament voting in favor of it in the Lok Sabha, and all the 214 members present in the Rajya Sabha also voting in favor.
Notably, it was a remarkable day, not only for the passage of the bill but also because it coincided with Dr. Nowhera Shaik’s birthday, which was celebrated in a grand event.
