“Yuddh Nashiyan De Viruddh” Karamjit Singh Rintu administered anti-drug oath: Awareness march taken out

Improvement Trust Amritsar Chairman Karamjit Singh Rintu said that under the Punjab Government’s anti-drug campaign “Yuddh Nashiyan De Viruddh”, a program was organized in Ward No. 10-11-12, Amritsar North to create awareness against drug abuse under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bhagwant Mann ji.
Highlighting the important role of community participation, the program saw anti-drug oath being taken – which he himself administered – followed by an awareness march with prominent residents.
In-charge of the campaign for Amritsar North and as the Chief Guest at the event, he urged all to unite in building a drug-free and progressive Punjab. Chairman Karamjit Singh Rintu said that under the anti-drug campaign “Yuddh Nashiyan De Viruddh”, it has taken the Punjab Government about two to two and a half years to formulate its framework.
The Punjab government worked on the ground level for this. Arrangements were made from start to finish for de-addiction. The government’s goal in this journey is to take steps towards making every village and ward drug-free.
He said that a CM helpline has been started on which anyone can give information related to drug trafficking. Let us tell you that this campaign was to be started earlier, but it was postponed for a few days amid the India-Pakistan dispute.
On this occasion, Senior Deputy Mayor Priyanka Sharma, Ward No. 10 Incharge Vishakha Singh, Ward No. 12 Incharge Balwinder Singh Kala, Ritesh Sharma, Ravinder Bhatti, Sahil Sagar, Bobby Sareen, SHO Harvinder Singh and people from the area of all three wards participated.
