To Succeed, Continue Hardwork, Pay Attention To Teachers, Parents, DC Advises Toppers

The students, who have secured top ranks in board exams of class 10th and +2, spent a day with the Deputy Commissioner Mr T Benith and SSP Mr Sarfaraz Alam today. Students began their day with having breakfast with the Deputy Commissioner Mr T Benith at his residence.
The students learnt the way residence of Deputy Commissioner doubles up as a control room as well as office during the days considered public holidays and emergencies. During the meals they interacted with Deputy Commissioner discussing his journey from being an IIT graduate to clearing UPSC and becoming a civil servant.
After the meals, the students joined Deputy Commissioner in attending the meeting of public grievances chaired by DC Mr T Benith. Heads of all the government departments attended this meeting wherein issues of public grievances, action taken on news reports publishing problems of public and litigation of various departments were discussed.
Deputy Commissioner honored the class 10th toppers, while the class +2 toppers had already been honored for their fete earlier. Speaking to the students, Mr T Benith advised them to stay grounded even in the moments of achievements of being toppers.
He added that the youngsters should pay complete attention to their teachers and parents for a better and secure future. He also directed that the names of students be put up on display boards outside DC office so that others draw inspiration from them.
Students visited the CM Help Window, e-governance center of governance reforms, various branches of DC and SSP Offices, employment bureau, sewa Kendra and Red Cross Society. Later, they also interacted with ADC (G) Anuprita Johal sharing their experiences of the day spent with DC and SSP.
Delegation of students had class 10th topper including Amarinder Singh from Sarvhitkari School (first in district and 18th in state), Jasmine Kaur from Shaheed Jashandeep Singh Sra Government High School Nainewal and Ishan Singla from Satvhitkari Vidya Mandir both secured bracketed second place in district and 21st in state and Kamaldeep Kaur from Shaheed Jashandeep Singh Sra Government High School Nainewal who secured third place in district and 22nd in state.
The class +2 students included state topper in medical Harsirat Kaur from Sarvhitkari Vidya Mandir who secured first place in medical, Shehnaz from Government Senior Secondary School Sehna who secured fifth place in humanities group in state, Mohini from Sarvhitkari Vidya Mandir who secured 10th place in commerce and Jaspreet Kaur from Sant Baba Laungpuri Adarsh School Pakho Kalan who secured 14th position in medical.
ADC (G) Anuprita Johal, GA to DC Jugraj Singh Kahlon, DEO (S) Suneetinder Singh and senior officers were present.
