Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated the City Police Post at Jwalamukhi under Police district Dehra in district Kangra today. He stated that keeping in view the religious importance of this place, the State Government decided to open a police post so that thousands of pilgrims from many parts of the country who visit this holy place for paying their obeisance could feel safe and secure.
The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of a new fire post at Jwalamukhi which will be completed in next 15 months at a cost of Rs.5.36 crore. This project would also have a parking area for the fire tenders and staff quarters.
He directed the BSNL engineering wing to complete the project within stipulated time period. MLA Sanjay Rattan, HRTC Vice Chairman Ajay Verma, DIG Abhishek Dullar, DC Hem Raj Bairwa and SP police district Dehra Mayank Chaudhary were also present on the occasion.
