In compliance to the directions of Mrs. Navjot Kaur Sohal, Hon’ble Member Secretary, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar and under the stewardship of Mrs. Ramesh Kumari, Hon’ble District and Sessions Judge, Rupnagar; Ms. Amandeep Kaur, Secretary DLSA, Mr. Varjit Walia, Deputy Commissioner and Mr. Gulneet Singh Khurana, Senior Superintendent of Police, planted saplings at IIT, Rupnagar on World Environment Day under the ‘Tree Plantation Drive’.
On this occasion, Dr. Rajiv Ahuja, Director, IIT and Mr. Arvinder Kumar, Joint Registrar were also present. On this occasion, Ms. Amandeep Kaur, CJM-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Rupnagar appealed to reduce the use of plastic, plant trees and save the green environment.
