Sanjeev Arora Seeks Divine Blessings, Interacts with Locals Before Filing Nomination

In a show of faith and humility ahead of the upcoming Ludhiana (West) bypoll, Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Sanjeev Arora began his day by visiting prominent religious places in the city to seek divine blessings. Accompanied by his family, including his son Kavya Arora, he paid obeisance at Shree Durga Mata Mandir near Jagraon Bridge and Gurdwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib.
The visit to both these holy places happened just before Arora filed his nomination papers for the by-election. Dressed simply, Arora demonstrated his connection with the spiritual and cultural fabric of the city. At the gurdwara, he humbly took part in sewa (selfless service) by cleaning the shoes of devotees—a gesture that resonated with the Sikh tradition of humility and service.
Bhai Satnam Singh, a member of the Gurdwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib committee, honored Arora with a siropa (robe of honor), while Granthi Sarabjot Singh led the ardaas (prayer) for his well-being and success. Following his visit to the mandir, Arora spent time at a nearby roadside dhaba, where he engaged in informal conversations with locals and customers present.
In these interactions, he shared his aspirations and vision for Ludhiana, focusing on development, better infrastructure, and citizen-centric governance. He emphasized the Aam Aadmi Party’s commitment to transparency, public welfare, and inclusive progress.
Later, Arora said that he draws strength from the blessings of both the divine and the people. “It is important for any public servant to stay grounded, listen to the concerns of citizens, and act with sincerity and humility,” he stated.
As campaigning picks up pace for the Ludhiana (West) bypoll, Arora’s gesture of beginning his journey with prayers and public interaction signals a people-first approach and spiritual grounding in his political journey.
