Punjab Government Provides Compensation to Families Affected by Liquor Tragedy in 48 hours

Cabinet Minister Mr Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal today distributed cheques of Rs 10 lakh each to the families of those who died after consuming toxic liquor in villages of the Majitha constituency. These Cheques were distributed to the families of the victims, as announced by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.

Mr Dhaliwal said that Punjab Police has arrested 16 individuals connected to the case, including some from Delhi and Ludhiana. He said that The government is providing free medical treatment to those hospitalized and will grant them financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each.

Minister has assured justice and strict action against all culprits involved in the tragedy. Cabinet Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said that “No amount of money can compensate for the loss of a family’s breadwinner, but it is the government’s responsibility to do whatever possible to support the surviving members.” “We will take strict action against all those involved in drug trafficking, including confiscation of their properties.”
