PEC-CMH and Wadhwani Foundation Launch 5-Day FDP on Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation

Centre of Management and Humanities (CMH), at Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh in collaboration with Wadhwani Foundation, today inaugurated a 5-Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation/Entrepreneurship Development.
This is scheduled from 2nd to 6th June, 2025, aims to foster an entrepreneurial mindset among faculty members and equip them with the tools necessary to guide aspiring student entrepreneurs.
This ceremony was graced by esteemed Director of PEC, Prof. Rajesh Kumar Bhatia as Chief Guest, along with Mr. Amit Singh (Regional Manager, Wadhwani Foundation), Mr. Vishal Nair (Entrepreneurship Educator & Lead Trainer, Wadhwani Foundation), and Prof. Anju Singh (Head, CMH).
Initially Prof. Anju Singla shared valuable insights on the objectives of FDP. She emphasized the need for Entrepreneurial Culture and Managerial Talent for holistic growth of the students. “Entrepreneurship,” she said, “is not merely about launching startups it is a mindset that fosters adaptability, critical thinking, and problem-solving, ultimately transforming individuals from job seekers into job creators.”
She further highlighted the FDP’s alignment with the national vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 and the Startup Ecosystem Initiative by the Hon’ble Governor of Punjab, especially in the context of Chandigarh’s evolving innovation landscape.
Further, Mr. Amit Singh, the keynote speaker of the day, shared inspiring stories of a few entrepreneurs along with their startup ideas. He remarked that this would create millions of job opportunities, with skill based learning and digitization.
Next, Mr. Vishal Nair, in a very interesting way, provided insights into the depths of entrepreneurship. During his session, he introduced WF Platforms, Venture Creation, and Requirements for Certification, through Learning Resources, Venture Journey, AI Co-pilot, Structured reviews (M1/M2/M3), Mentoring/Ecosystem connects.
Director, Prof. Rajesh Kumar Bhatia, welcomed all the dignitaries and participants at the portals of PEC. He also expressed his gratitude towards the Wadhwani Foundation for arranging such an amazing FDP. He put emphasis on becoming the beginners and torch bearers in the field of entrepreneurship.
This 5-day long FDP would consist of numerous topics inclusive of Venture Term Formation, Solution Idea Generation, Competition Mapping, Evaluating a perfect Startup Idea, Prototype development and Opportunity Assessment, Business Modelling, Marketing & Sales Strategy, Venture Viability, and Pedagogy Demo Classes for participants. At last, Dr. Nidhi Tanwar provided the vote of thanks. The event ended on a high note.
