Office bearers of Horticulture Services Association call on Jagat Singh Negi

The office bearers of the Himachal Pradesh Horticulture Services Association called on Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi here today. During the meeting, President of the Association Dr. Ranjan Sharma presented various demands related to salaries and recruitment to vacant posts.
The Horticulture Minister assured the Association members that the state government would consider their genuine demands sympathetically. Jagat Singh Negi said that horticulture officers who have received training abroad would be deployed in the field so that farmers and horticulturists can benefit from their knowledge and expertise.
This initiative would further strengthen Himachal Pradesh’s identity as a “Fruit State” and boost the income of horticulturists. Secretary Horticulture C. Paulrasu, Director Vinay Singh, Project Director HP SHIVA Devender Thakur and other senior officers of the department were present on the occasion.
