Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri paid floral tributes to former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi on the death anniversary in Chhota Shimla today. On this occasion Shri Agnihotri remembered Rajiv Gandhi as a visionary leader and the true architect of modern India.
He said that Rajiv Gandhi laid a strong foundation to guide India into the 21st century. Shri Gandhi’s historic decisions such as ushering in the computer revolution, expanding communication technologies, empowering Panchayati Raj institutions, promoting education and youth empowerment were the testament to his foresight and dedication.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that Rajiv Gandhi devoted his entire life for the service of the nation and the welfare of its people. He said that his dream was to build a prosperous, self-reliant and modern India.
Today, it is our duty to follow the path he showed and contribute to the progress of our state and country. Mukesh Agnihotri further said that Rajiv Gandhi was not just a politician, but a symbol of change and innovation.
