MLA Sidhu leads special cleanliness drive in Dr Ambedkar Nagar

Continuing the mega cleanliness drive launched across the city, Atam Nagar MLA Kulwant Singh Sidhu led a special cleanliness drive in Dr Ambedkar Nagar  on Tuesday. Wielding the broom, MLA Sidhu spearheaded the cleanliness drive and urged the residents to do their bit in ensuring a pollution free environment by keeping their surroundings clean.  

Accompanied by councillor (ward number 47) Usha Rani and Surinder Kalyan, MLA Sidhu stated that the civic body teams are working on a regular basis to ensure cleanliness across the city. But this goal cannot be achieved without the active support of the residents.

He appealed to the residents to stop dumping waste at open spaces and in vacant plots. MC Zonal Commissioner (Zone D) Jasdev Singh Sekhon, CSI Gurinder Singh among other officials of the civic body also participated in the cleanliness drive. 

MLA Sidhu stated that Chief Minister (CM) Bhagwant Singh Mann led state government is committed to ensure cleanliness and pollution free environment. He stated that the special cleanliness drives will continue in the coming days too and every ward of the constituency would be covered under this drive. He appealed to the public to join hands with the authorities and make this drive a public movement.
