India Names MP Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal to Lead Global Outreach on Operation Sindoor

In a move highlighting his growing national and global stature, Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of Lovely Professional University (LPU), has been selected by the Government of India to be part of a strategic seven-member delegation representing the country’s uncompromising stand against terrorism.
Dr. Mittal’s delegation will visit Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Latvia, and Russia; key geopolitical regions where shaping international consensus on terrorism is crucial. The mission is part of India’s global outreach following the success of Operation Sindoor, the country’s assertive military response to the Pahalgam terror attack.
The delegation is led by senior DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi and includes two renowned diplomats, Manjeev Singh Puri and Jawed Ashraf. “I am honored to represent India on this critical diplomatic mission,” said Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal.
“This outreach is not just about diplomacy; it is about truth, justice, and peace. Operation Sindoor was a definitive statement by India, and we must now ensure the global narrative reflects the facts and India’s firm moral position.”
Dr. Mittal emphasized the importance of India’s internal strength and international engagement: “India today is backed by strong, visionary leadership. Our economic resilience, strategic direction, and national unity give us a powerful voice in world affairs.
But to truly dismantle terrorism, global cooperation is essential and that is the message I will take to the world.” This global diplomatic campaign comes in the wake of the April 22, 2025 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, where 26 innocent civilians were killed; the worst terror strike since the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
Operation Sindoor, launched in response on May 7, involved precision pre-dawn airstrikes targeting nine terror camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, neutralizing over 100 terrorists affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed.
The Government of India has constituted seven all-party delegations, with a total of 59 representatives from Parliament and diplomatic circles, to visit 32 countries. The campaign is unified under the theme: “One Mission. One Message. One Bharat.”
Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal’s inclusion in this high-impact mission signals trust in his ability to powerfully communicate India’s values, strategic intent, and commitment to global peace.
