High-Level Meeting on Water Treatment and Sewerage Projects Chaired by Jai Krishan Rouri at Mahilpur

Hon’ble Deputy Speaker, Punjab Vidhan Sabha, S. Jai Krishan Singh Rouri, chaired an important meeting today at the Rest House in Mahilpur, District Hoshiarpur. The meeting focused on reviewing the current status of water treatment plants, water supply lines, and sewerage projects in the Garhshankar and Mahilpur areas.

Senior officials from the Sewerage Board, including the Superintending Engineer, Executive Engineer, SDO, Executive officers and other departmental officers from the concerned areas, were present at the meeting. During the discussion, the Deputy Speaker Rouri conducted a detailed review of each project’s progress and emphasized the importance of transparency and timely execution in all public-funded initiatives to ensure that the benefits reach the people without delay.

Deputy Speaker Rouri firmly stated, “The primary goal of government schemes is public welfare. If negligence or laxity is observed at any level, accountability will be ensured.” Upon receiving indications of issues at certain sites, he issued immediate directions for corrective action and urged all officials to fulfill their responsibilities with honesty and dedication.

This meeting marked a concrete step toward accelerating regional development and providing better basic amenities to the public.
