Health Minister Arti Singh Rao holds review meeting with department officials

Haryana Health and Family Welfare Minister Arti Singh Rao held a review meeting with the Director Generals Health Services (DGHS) and Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) of Kurukshetra, Ambala, and Kaithal districts here today to assess the current status of healthcare facilities and chart out a roadmap for improvement.
During the meeting, the Health Minister emphasized the need to enhance the quality and accessibility of healthcare services across the three districts. She took detailed feedback on vacancies, availability and functionality of medical equipment, infrastructure maintenance, and other key departmental issues impacting public health delivery. She also took detailed information on availability of ambulances, the related equipment and their functioning.
Arti Singh Rao directed officials to expedite recruitment processes to fill vacancies, particularly of doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff. She also instructed that non-functional equipment be immediately repaired or replaced, and regular maintenance of healthcare facilities be ensured to provide a hygienic and patient-friendly environment.
“Health is a priority sector for the government. No district should lag behind in providing timely and quality healthcare to the people. Accountability and timely action are essential,” the Minister said.The Minister also reviewed district-level health indicators and stressed the importance of regular monitoring, improved data reporting, and inter-departmental coordination.
She assured full support from the state government to strengthen district-level health systems.The DGHS and CMOs shared detailed updates and assured to implement the minister’s directives and complete projects within the prescribed timelines.DGHS Dr. Manish Bansal, DGHS (P) Dr. Kuldeep Singh and other senior officers were present in the meeting.
