Former Union Minister Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa cremated with full state honors

Deputy Commissioner, Sangrur, Sandeep Rishi, today laid a wreath on the body of Senior Akali Leader and Former Union Minister Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa during his last rites, on behalf of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, at his native village Ubhawal in Sangrur district. He breathed his last at a private hospital in Mohali on Wednesday evening after a prolonged illness.

Meanwhile, Cabinet Ministers Harpal Singh Cheema, Aman Arora and Laljit Singh Bhullar, Lok Sabha Members Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer and Malwinder Singh Kang besides senior bureaucrats and police officers from the Punjab government paid their last respects to Mr. Dhindsa.

The Deputy Commissioner also conveyed the Chief Minister’s condolences to the bereaved family and paid respects to the departed soul. Subsequently, the Former Union Minister was cremated with full state honors at his ancestral land.
