Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij said that new electric cleaning machines have arrived at the Civil Hospital in Ambala Cantonment, which will be used to clean the hospital premises three to four times a day. Additionally, a separate new cleaning machine is being brought specifically for the operation theatre, which is expected to be available within the next one to two days.
He also stated that a letter has been sent to the Health Minister requesting the upgradation of the hospital laboratory, to ensure that every patient’s test is conducted and reports are made available on a daily basis. Sh. Vij was responding to questions asked by media personnel today.
When asked about the arrival of new electric machines, he said that “It is a very welcome development that cleaning in the Civil Hospital will now be done using electric scrubber machines.” He added that he has issued directives for cleaning to be done three to four times daily using these machines.
Recalling earlier conditions, he said that “When I first became the Health Minister, the OPD had fewer than 300 patients; today, it has increased to more than 3,000.” He also informed that approximately 1,500 tests are conducted daily in the hospital laboratory, and reiterated that he has written to the Health Minister to upgrade the lab so that test reports for all patients can be made available every day.
