Dr Dhani Ram Shandil presides over meeting with representatives of Devbhoomi Kshatriya Organization

Health, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil chaired a meeting with the representatives of the Devbhoomi Kshatriya Organization here today.A detailed discussion over various issues raised by the organization was held in the meeting.

Health Minister said that the State Government was committed to the overall development of all communities and working continuously for their welfare under the provisions of the Constitution. He said that ensuring the upliftment of every section of society remains a key priority of the present state government.

The Minister said that soon after assuming the office, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu visited the Orphanage at Tutikandi and launched a scheme dedicated to the welfare of these children. Under the Mukhyamantri Sukh-ashray Yojana, the government was providing complete care to thousands of orphans and destitute children across the state, assuming the role of their guardian. 

These children have been given the status of “Children of the State.” Dr. (Col.) Shandil assured that the government was dedicated to the progress of all communities without discrimination and will consider the concerns presented by the Devbhoomi Kshatriya Organisation with due seriousness. 

He further said that he would apprise the Chief Minister about the issues of the organization and appropriate decisions would be taken in due course. Earlier, State President of the Organization Rummit Singh Thakur submitted a memorandum highlighting their key demands and requested to consider their demands.

Secretary, Social Justice and Empowerment Ashish Singhmar, Secretary, General Administration Rajesh Sharma, Director ESOMSA Sumit Khimta, senior officers and other representatives of the Organization were present in the meeting.
