DLIC approves 33 proposals at Doda

The District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) on Mission YUVA meeting was convened, here today. District Development Commissioner, Harvinder Singh chaired the meeting aimed to review the progress of Mission YUVA and to scrutinize and approve applications seeking financial assistance received on DLIC portal.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, General Manager DIC, District Social Welfare Officer, Assistant Director Employment, District Nodal Officer JKEDI, District Development Manager NABARD and LDM.
A total of 33 cases, verified by the Small Business Development Unit (SBDU), were presented before the Committee and all were approved for financial assistance and handholding support after thorough scrutiny of eligibility criteria, business feasibility and the socio-economic background of the applicants.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh underscored the significance of promoting self-employment among local youth, particularly those from underprivileged and marginalized communities.
He directed the stakeholder departments to ensure timely disbursement of financial assistance, regular monitoring and proper mentoring to support the long-term success of the approved ventures. He also emphasized the need for increasing the outreach to encourage wider participation in the scheme.
