Dharti Aabha Abhiyan continues in panchayat Ladden of Block Nagam

As part of the ongoing Government initiative aimed at achieving 100% saturation of welfare schemes, Dharti Aabha Abhiyan continued today in Panchayat Ladden of Block Nagam, district Budgam.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, participated in the programme and inspected various stalls set up to showcase and register beneficiaries under different schemes.

Speaking on the occasion, DC appreciated the rich cultural heritage of the tribal communities and encouraged them to fully utilize government welfare schemes to move towards greater economic empowerment and self-reliance

He said, this campaign, which commenced on June 15, focuses on generating awareness regarding the benefits and eligibility criteria of various government schemes under 25 key interventions spanning 17 line departments. 

The initiative is intended to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left out of the social welfare net, he added. On the occasion, several delegations from the tribal community met the DC and projected demands related to infrastructure, connectivity, inclusion in public welfare databases, and improved access to education and healthcare.

DC assured the public that all genuine demands would be looked into on priority and that the administration is committed to inclusive development, ensuring no section of society is left behind.

It is apt to mention, all concerned departments participated in the Gram Sabha, during which representatives explained the scope and coverage of their respective schemes. On-spot registrations were also facilitated for schemes such as PMAY-G, Kisan Credit Cards, Swadesh Darshan Guest Homes, HADP, Jal Jeevan Mission (FHTC), and PMJAY Health Cards.

The event witnessed various cultural programs and active participation from the local tribal community, who shared their feedback and suggestions with the departmental teams.
