DDC Pankaj Kumar Sharma reviews implementation of Credit-Linked Schemes in Kishtwar district

District Development Commissioner (DDC) Pankaj Kumar Sharma convened a comprehensive review meeting today to assess the progress of Agriculture and allied sector credit-linked schemes in the district.

The meeting focused on case sanctioning and disbursement status of key schemes, including Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Enterprises (PM-FME), PM-KISAN, Kisan Credit Card (KCC), Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF), among others.

The Lead District Manager (LDM) apprised the DC of the current status and progress. The DC Kishtwar directed the LDM to organize camps under the Convergence Plan for door-to-door awareness and services delivery.

These camps will be organized in coordination with banks and relevant departments to bring services closer to the people. The DC directed the line departments and banks to spread mass awareness and encourage the youth to set up agro- based enterprises by availing Government schemes. 

He also instructed the departments to inform beneficiaries about the formalities, benefits, and other relevant aspects of the schemes. The meeting was attended by CAO Kushal Chandel; CHO Sajid Mustafa; LDM Harsh Rawal; representatives from  financial institutions and stakeholder departments.
