DC Srinagar Akshay Labroo participates in devotional celebration of 127th Birth Anniversary of Bhagwan Gopinath Ji at Habbakadal

To commemorate the 127th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Gopinath Ji, a revered saint, traditional celebrations steep in devotion commenced on the evening of July 6, 2025. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo today paid a visit to Gopinathji Ashram Kharyar in Habba Kadal area of the district and participated in the program.
The event witnessed the presence of hundreds of devotees from various parts of the country, who thronged the Ashram to seek blessings. On the occasion, Ashram was beautifully adorned and the serene atmosphere of Kharyar was filled with the timeless teachings of Bhagwan Gopinath Ji, centered on inner purity, universal love, and divine realization.
Sheep Husbandry deptt organizes PMFME workshop/awareness programme at Sumbal BANDIPORA, JULY 07: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Sheep Husbandry deptt, Bandipora designated as the Nodal department for the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme in the district, successfully organized a workshop-cum-awareness programme at the Conference Hall, Dak Bungalow, Sumbal Bandipora.
On the occasion, District Sheep Husbandry Officer Bandipora, who is also the District Nodal Officer (DNO), PMFME, elaborated on the scheme’s significance, highlighting its role in empowering individual entrepreneurs and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) through financial and technical support.
District Resource Person delivered a comprehensive presentation on the PMFME scheme, detailing its objectives, components, eligibility criteria and the application process. He urged participants to make the most of the scheme’s provisions to enhance their income and establish sustainable enterprises.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 50 farmers and aspiring entrepreneurs, who engaged actively during the session. During the event, a special address was delivered by the Lead District Manager, J&K Bank, who shed light on various banking and insurance products available to the beneficiaries.
He also highlighted the synergy between PMFME and financial institutions in fostering rural entrepreneurship and financial inclusion. Officials and resource persons from various departments including Agriculture, Horticulture, NRLM, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, and Fisheries were present to offer guidance and support to the aspiring entrepreneurs. On-the-spot beneficiary registration was facilitated by the District Resource Person, enabling immediate access to the scheme.
