DC Reasi Nidhi Malik calls for speeding up registration, installation process

Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Nidhi Malik today chaired a review meeting to assess the progress of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana in the district. The DC reviewed the number of registrations, applications received, and the current status of installations under the scheme.
It was informed that a total of 1026 registrations have been done with 140 installations completed and 26 in the queue. Taking serious note of the slow installation, the DC directed the XEN JPDCL to fix responsibility and take strict action against those who have failed to meet the targets.
Emphasizing the importance of coordinated efforts, DC Nidhi Malik asked stakeholder departments to increase outreach to encourage maximum number of to avail the benefits of the scheme. The meeting also featured discussions on vendor selection processes to ensure quality and timely service delivery.
Furthermore, DC Reasi reviewed the functionality status of solar panels installed on government buildings. The ACD informed that 21 solarisation units have been installed, out of which 12 are currently functional.
The DC instructed the ACD to verify the status of these units through the concerned BDOs and coordinate with JAKEDA for prompt repairs wherever necessary. The meeting was attended by ADDC Sukhdev Samyal, CPO Narinder Kumar, Executive Engineer of JPDCL, CEO, all AEEs, JEs and other concerned officers.
