“Congress’s Fight for the Constitution and the Nation Will Continue” : Balbir Singh Sidhu

Former Punjab Health Minister and senior Congress leader Balbir Singh Sidhu today led a massive “Save the Constitution Rally” in Mohali, which saw participation from several prominent leaders of the Punjab Congress.

Among those present were Punjab Congress President S. Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, former Speaker Rana K.P. Singh, Punjab Congress Co-Incharge Shri Ravindra Dalvi, S. Inderbir Singh Bolaria, Dera Bassi in-charge Deepinder Dhillon, Mayor of Mohali Amarjit Singh Jeeti Sidhu, and many other senior leaders.

Addressing the rally, Punjab Congress President S. Amarinder Singh Raja Warring threw an open challenge to the BJP, Aam Aadmi Party, and RSS. He said, “The Congress Party is raising its voice from every platform against the ongoing murder of the Constitution and democracy in the country.”

Praising Balbir Singh Sidhu, Raja Warring said, “When Balbir ji left the party due to some differences, I tried hard to find a leader like him for Mohali, but no one could fill his absence. I am very grateful that he has returned to the Congress and strengthened the party further.”

Punjab Congress Co-Incharge Shri Ravindra Dalvi targeted the BJP government, saying, “The BJP-RSS duo is trying to divide the country in the name of religion. They are not only sacrificing the constitutional values but also snatching away people’s freedom, employment, and rights.”

Rana K.P. Singh also attacked the Aam Aadmi Party during the rally, stating, “AAP has now become the B-team of the BJP. From Delhi to Punjab, their silence and collusion with the BJP has become a threat to our nation and Constitution. Those who came to power with slogans of change are now suppressing the voice of the people. But the Congress Party is fighting this battle with full strength and we are receiving overwhelming support from the people.”

“Only Congress is the True Guardian of the Constitution!” : Balbir Singh Sidhu

Addressing a large gathering, senior Congress leader Balbir Singh Sidhu, who led the rally, said that the soul of the nation—our Constitution, our democracy, and our harmony—is under threat today. But the Congress Party, as the only true national force, is fighting to protect it. “We will never allow the dictatorship being imposed by the BJP and RSS to prevail,” he declared.

He further said that the Congress not only fought for the country’s freedom in the past, but today, too, the party stands as the voice of the people. Sidhu emotionally referred to the upcoming elections not as an ordinary electoral contest but as a “constitutional battle.”

Speaking about the leadership of party president Raja Warring, Sidhu said, “The whole city of Mohali is our family, and we are fortunate that a leader like you, associated with the party for 35 years, stands with us. You have always supported the party at every turn, and because of that, you have reached this level.

I assure you that we will continue working together for the development of the state and Mohali.”Sidhu added, “This election is not just about a party winning or losing. It is a people’s fight—for their bread, their jobs, their freedom, and their future. We will reject BJP’s hateful politics and AAP’s theatrics.

The people of Punjab and the country will support the Congress, and this will create a new historic wave.”Calling upon people to be aware and understand their rights and duties at the grassroots level, Sidhu concluded, “Our campaign is not an electoral strategy; it is a fight to save our Constitution, our democracy, and our freedom.

We will go to every village, every city, every lane to tell people the truth—that Congress is the real voice of the people and will continue to be. Our fight to save the Constitution and the nation continues today.”

Finally, Mohali Mayor Amarjit Singh Jeeti Sidhu thanked all Mohali residents, village heads, sarpanches, district presidents, Zila Parishad members, councilors, party workers, and office bearers who, despite the bad weather, participated in large numbers and made the rally a success.
