Conduct timely ‘pairvi’ of cases pending in the courts of mining department: KM Pandurang

Director General of Mining and Geology Department, KM Pandurang has directed that all court cases related to the department be resolved at the earliest through active legal representation. He instructed officials to prepare a comprehensive list of all such cases and submit periodic reports detailing the actions taken.Mr. Pandurang issued these directions during a review meeting with department officials at Haryana Bhawan, New Delhi, on Tuesday.

He said that several cases involving the department are currently pending in various courts and should be actively pursued to ensure timely resolution. He also directed to immediate recovery of outstanding dues from various mining companies. 

Stressing the importance of meeting recovery targets, he instructed the recovery cell to intensify efforts to collect all pending amounts promptly.In addition, Mr. Pandurang directed all mining department officers to take strict action to curb illegal mining activities. 

He called for continuous patrolling and immediate action wherever illegal mining is detected.During the meeting, he reviewed all operational mining sites across the state. He also highlighted that if there are issues related to site marking, it is the responsibility of mining officials to resolve them in coordination with the Revenue Department.

The meeting was attended by Additional Director Mahendra Pal, State Mining Engineer Dr. Madhavi Gupta, State Geologist Deepak Kumar, and other departmental officials.
