Comprehensive Action Plan in place to prevent Waterlogging in Gurugram

Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister, Rao Narbir Singh said that this year the monsoon is expected to arrive earlier than usual. Therefore, the officers concerned must complete all preparations in a timely manner. To prevent waterlogging in Gurugram, around 125 main drainage points have been identified, and it is essential to begin cleaning operations around these areas immediately.

Rao Narbir Singh said that he is personally holding regular meetings with officers of GMDA, Municipal Corporation, Revenue and Disaster Management, and the Public Health Engineering Department. A separate task force has also been directed to be formed for this purpose, he said.

Meanwhile, the Minister will visit six sewage treatment plants (STPs) in Gurugram on May 23, 2025. Key locations include, 4.5-km-long STP channel on Kherki Road near Dhankot village, central section of STP channel on Makrodilia Road near Kaliawas village, inspection of the STP pump house near AIIMS Badsa, Mundakhera pump house at Drain No. 8 on Badli–Gurugram Road, STP channel on Sondhi Road near Yakubpur village, and the pumping station-2 of STP channel near MET City.
