Another Youth Voice Joins BJP in Punjab’s Battle for Change : Tarun Chugh

Virat Kant, a young social worker and youth leader, joined the Bharatiya Janta Party today in a program organized at the Delhi residence of BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh. The joining took place in the presence of Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar and Tarun Chugh.
Virat Kant belongs to a legacy of freedom fighters and leaders. He is the grandson of former Vice President of India Krishna Kant, a fierce voice against the Emergency imposed by Indira Gandhi, and the great-grandson of Achintram, a two-time MP from Punjab, renowned as the “Gandhi of Punjab” for his simplicity and sacrifice.
Welcoming Virat Kant into the BJP, Tarun Chugh said,
“Today, another brave youth from Punjab has joined our movement, the same Punjab where the youth are being crushed under the weight of unemployment, substance abuse, and a directionless puppet government led by Bhagwant Mann and remote-controlled by Kejriwal.
The same youth are now rising to reclaim their future.” Chugh added, “Kejriwal and Mann are attempting to loot over 75,000 acres of Punjab’s fertile land through the unconstitutional Land Pooling Policy. I urge the youth of Punjab to rise up, like Virat, and join the BJP’s movement to stop this tyranny.”
Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar, while addressing the media, said,
“Punjab is suffering under the failed leadership of Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal. Only a double-engine government, guided by the transformative vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, can restore hope in the state.”
Taking a direct jibe at the Congress, Jakhar said, “The Congress has failed as an opposition in Punjab. Their silence on key issues like the Land Pooling is not political ignorance, it is silent complicity.”
On joining the BJP, Virat Kant said,
“Prime Minister Modi’s 11-year journey of transforming India from a fragile state to a rising global power is what inspired me. I feel honoured to contribute to the mission of ‘Viksit Bharat’ and thank the party leadership for this opportunity.”
