Amid Bypoll Heat, AAP’s Arora Takes Literary Pause with Primary Teachers

Despite his hectic campaign schedule for the upcoming bypoll, Rajya Sabha MP and AAP candidate for Ludhiana (West) assembly seat, Sanjeev Arora, took time to attend a literary function as the Chief Guest at Punjabi Bhawan this evening.
The Kavi Sammelan, a poetry event, was organised by the Office of the District Education Officer (DEO), Ludhiana, to promote literary interests among primary school teachers of the district. Several teachers recited their original poems at the event. Among them, two poems by Amrit Kaur and Surjit Kaur were presented and received special appreciation from Arora.
In his address, Arora lauded the wide range of messages conveyed by the teachers through their poetry. He emphasised the importance of daughters and education, themes reflected in many of the poems. “Each poem imparts a meaningful message and educates the reader,” he said.
He praised the teachers for contributing to literature alongside their regular academic duties.Arora also spoke passionately about the invaluable role of teachers in society. He expressed his sentiments poetically, saying:
“Andhere jeevan mein hamare naya savera laate hain,
Unki unchi shaan hai — shikshak jo kehlate hain.”
He encouraged students to learn as much as possible from their teachers, acknowledging their vast knowledge. Additionally, he urged teachers to instill values such as etiquette, social manners, and respect for elders, along with academic education.
Sharing his own journey, Arora stressed the importance of working with passion. He cited his development initiatives as a Rajya Sabha MP over the past three years, highlighting projects carried out in Ludhiana and other parts of the state, as well as his efforts in raising key public interest issues in Parliament.
While interacting with the organisers, Arora also discussed the significance of the Punjabi language and the state’s rich cultural heritage. Notable attendees included DEO (Primary) Ravinder Kaur, Deputy DEO Manoj Kumar, District Language Officer Sandeep Sharma, and Nikki Kohli.
