AAP is selling dreams while Punjab drowns in poison: Tarun Chugh

BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh has slammed the Aam Aadmi Party government over its hollow announcements like the so-called Rangla Punjab Society at a time when Punjab is reeling from the deaths of over 25 innocent people in the latest hooch tragedy in Amritsar.

Chugh said that while Punjab is mourning due to the widespread menace of drugs and spurious liquor, the AAP government is busy selling painted dreams through press conferences. “What kind of ‘Rangla Punjab’ is this, where youth are holding syringes instead of jobs, and villagers are receiving toxic liquor instead of development?”

He said this society announcement is another PR stunt, while ground reality continues to rot under AAP’s misgovernance. “Let the government first ensure a poison-free Punjab, then talk of a colourful one. There can be no ‘Rangla Punjab’ until the protection of mafias, liquor cartels, and corruption ends,” he said.

Chugh added that ever since AAP came to power, illegal liquor deaths have turned into a tragic routine, and yet no accountability has been fixed. “Is this the idea of development—posters, promises, and no justice?” he asked.

Tarun Chugh demanded a judicial inquiry into the Amritsar hooch deaths and immediate crackdown on the illicit liquor mafia operating under political patronage. “This isn’t Rangla Punjab, it’s Bikhra Punjab under AAP’s failed leadership,” he concluded.
