174 Playgrounds to be Built in Amritsar District to Promote Sports Activities- Sakshi Sahni

As part of Deputy Commissioner Amritsar Mrs. Sakshi Sahni’s plan to connect children and youth with sports in the district, 174 playgrounds will be constructed. ADC D Mrs Parmjit kaur described that The district administration has identified 495 potential sites for playgrounds, with work already underway on 174 sites.
She said that The initiative aims to promote sports activities among children and youth, while also providing a space for elderly and women to engage in physical activities. ADC said that The playgrounds will serve as community spaces, fostering social interaction and community development.
“Our aim is to provide playground facilities in every village of the district.” Discrbred this ADC Mrs Parmjit kaur said that “We believe that sports play a vital role in promoting physical and mental well-being, and we are committed to providing the necessary infrastructure to support this goal.”
She discrbred that in Ajnala block 12 playgrounds, Harsha Chhina: 16 playgrounds, Ramdas: 12 playgrounds, Chogawan: 20 playgrounds, Majitha: 20 playgrounds, Tarsika: 22 playgrounds, Jandiala: 17 playgrounds, Rayya: 22 playgrounds, Attari: 16 playgrounds and Verka: 17 playgrounds will open shortly. She said that Work on 31 playgrounds has already been completed, with the remaining playgrounds expected to be finished soon.
