Ludhiana :The Ludhiana Sports Welfare Association is proud to announce a groundbreaking initiative aimed at nurturing young hockey talent in the villages of Laswa.. Under this unique program, children passionate about hockey, who previously lacked access to AstroTruff playing surfaces, will now have the opportunity to train and compete at the prestigious Panjab Agriculture University (PAU) hockey stadium every Sunday.
Amrik Singh, President of Laswa and a dedicated Retired officer of the Punjab Police, unveiled this initiative. In addition to access to the state-of-the-art AstroTruff, the LSWA will provide these young athletes with essential meals, ensuring they receive proper nourishment while pursuing their hockey dreams.
The inaugural match, which marked the launch of this initiative, was graced by the presence of Baldev Singh, a recipient of the Draunachari Award, and was met with great enthusiasm from the participants and spectators alike. This initiative is set to create a pathway for identifying and nurturing the region’s most promising hockey talents.
