Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa Inaugurates Revamped Store Of Bhinder Kalan Cooperative Society
Visits Cooperative Society Centres At Village Khosa Pando, Sukhanand
The Minister for Cooperative and Jails Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa today said that the department of cooperative was providing machines to farmers on subsidy through the cooperative societies in villages to prevent burning of paddy stubble. The more farmers associate themselves with the cooperative societies, the more they would gain from the agriculture sector.He said this while inaugurating the new revamped store of the multipurpose cooperative agriculture services society at village Bhinder Kalan. He also visited the stores being run by the cooperative societies at villages Khosa Pando and Sukhanand.Appreciating the efforts of Bhinder Kalan cooperative society, he said that the group is performing good work that is not only bringing good revenue for the society albeit its also helping the farmers who are members of society. This center has recently been upgraded. He added that the Bhinder Kalan society even has its own fire brigade and a gymnasium for the youngsters.He added that the Bhinder Kalan society was among those 500 societies in the state that the Punjab government has held hand and brought it from society in losses to society into profits category. The other societies too shall be put on this path of success soon. ML Mr Sukhjit Singh Lohgarh, Registrar Cooperative Societies Mr Vikas Garg IAS, SDM Dharamkot Mr Narinder Singh Dhaliwal, cooperative societies department officers were also present.

Similarly, at village Khosa Pando appreciating the efforts of society he said that despite having only 500 members the society was running in profit. He added that the store was selling fertilizers, essential goods, cattle feed and other things. He appealed the farmers that in wake of spread of corona virus they should keep themselves safe at home, in fields and at the grain markets so that the infection is defeated. Area MLA Dr Harjot Kamal called upon the farmers to adopt practice of simple weddings and simple death “bhog” so that the wasteful expenses can be arrested and farmers can invest their money in agriculture. Chairman improvement trust Moga Mr. Vinod Bansal, SDM Moga Mr Satwant Singh, chairman zila parishad Mr Inderjit Singh, chairman Improvement Trust, joint director cooperative societies Ferozepur Mrs Shubhdeep Kaur Brar, deputy registrar cooperative societies Mr Kuldeep Kumar, DM Markfed Mr Sunil Sofat, assistant registrar Moga Mr Charanjit Singh, assistant registrar Nihal Singh Wala Mr Amandeep Singh, inspector Mr Lovedeep Singh, fertilizer supply officer Mr Robin Bhullar and others were also present.Similarly, at Baghapurana he visited village Sukhanand and appreciated the efforts of society in successfully running the store. Area MLA Mr Darshan Singh Brar and SDM Mrs Swaranjit Kaur were present along with the staff from cooperative department.
