Sodal Road Murder: All Accused Apprehended, Weapon Brought From M.P. Recovered: Gurpreet Singh Bhullar

Jalandhar : In a major breakthrough, the Jalandhar Commissionerate Police have apprehended all the five accused within four-days of murder of a shopkeeper at Sodal Road area. The weapon used in the murder was recently brought from Madhya Pradesh by Raman Kumar @ Sai.Disclosing this here today Commissioner of Police Gurpreet Singh Bhullar stated the Special Operation Unit while nabbing these accused also recovered a .32 bore pistol and two live cartridges used to commit the crime. Bhullar said that the accused had been identified as Arshdeep Singh @ Wadda Preet of Shaheed Babu Labh Singh Nagar, Sahil of Raj Nagar, Darshan Lal @ Lucky of Sant Nagar, Raman Kumar @ Sai of Madhuban Colony while the fifth accused Deepak was already arrested.Bhullar said that accused Arshdeep Singh and Sahil were arrested from Lamba Pind Chowk whereas Darshan and Raman were nabbed by the police team near Verka Milk Plant. The Commissioner also mentioned that Wadda Preet had already been booked in five cases at Jalandhar and Kapurthala and was wanted in one case registered in the police division no 2. Accused Darshan Lal was also wanted in two separate cases registered in the Bhargo Camp Police Station. Two criminal cases had already been registered against the accsued Raman Kumar @ Sai in Bhargo Camp and Basti Bawa Khel police station.The Commissioner of Police also informed that the police had got three-day remand of Wadda Preet to get into the bottom of the case besides seizing bikes used in the crime. He pointed out that the charge sheet would also be filed against the accused on fast track so that the justice could be ensured at the earliest.
