Rs. 10 crore released for Kapurthala constituency under Punjab Nirman Program : Rana Gurjeet Singh

Kapurthala : Punjab Government has released Rs 10 crore grant for kapurthala assembly constituency for holistic development of villages under ” Punjab Nirman Program ” .MLA Rana Rana Gurjeet Singh who today started distributing grants for development works to the Panchayats at villages saidowal , Sunnarwal and Dhaliwal Dona said that under first phase grant of Rs. 8.61 crore has been distributed to 83 villages.While addressing the people at saidowal , MLA Rana Gurjeet Singh said that Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh has released a grant of Rs. 10 crore for providing 100% basic amenities in rural areas. He said that with these grants the construction of concrete streets, sewerage, street lights, parks, cremation grounds, pipelines, gym rooms, interlocking tiles, sewerage laying in villages would be completed within next 2 months. .

He called upon the Panchayats to make maximum use of these grants and pay special attention towards the quality of work.Besides that he also distributes the loan waiver certificates to the land less farmers .Under this scheme the debt relief of Rs. 5.33 crore would be provided to 2823 farmers of Kapurthala assembly constituency. He today distributed Debt Relief Certificates worth about Rs. 15 lakh to 72 farmers of Gosal cooprative Society.Prominent amongst present on the occasion included Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Mr. SP Angra, Block Congress President Mr. Amarjit Singh Saidowal, Block Samiti Member Mr. Gurdeep Singh Bishnapur, BDPO Mr. Amarjit Singh besides Panch-Sarpanchs of several villages.
